Gliding Windows

The modern elegance of a gliding window is an ideal solution, particularly when a projecting window might interfere with walkways, patios, decks, or landscaping. Designed with slim, contoured lines, you can choose optional grilles in styles to complement, update, or change your home's decor.

From a functional standpoint, the sash open easily as they glide on raised glide rails on special fixed glide pins made of a special DuPont Delrin & Kevlar compound. We offer styles where both sides of the window are operational and we offer styles with one side stationary and the other side operational. On wider openings, we offer Gliding Picture windows where the end units are operational and the center picture window is stationary. Gliding Picture windows are available in both 1:2:1 & 1:1:1 sash ratios. All operational sash lift out of the track for quick cleaning. The bottom track has radiused corners for ease of cleaning. The Fibrex material tracks won't pit, rust, or corrode and the radius corners wipe clean with a damp cloth making cleaning a snap. Locks are made from strong and durable material and cam the sash closed for a tight and secure seal.
