specials-bannerRenewal by Andersen uses High−Performance™ Low−E4™ glass as standard in every window and door we build. The microscopically thin, metallic coatings on the inner surface restrict the flow of radiant heat, helping keep your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. It helps reduce harmful ultraviolet visible rays, by up to 95% (see chart below) while providing a clear, non-tinted view. Our Low−E4™ SmartSun glass is the most energy efficient glass that we have ever offered. To reduce visible light and glare, our Low−E4™ HPSun glass is the correct choice (see chart below).

Our glass also uses a patented, low-conductivity spacer made of stainless steel that resists heat transfer much more effectively than the aluminum spacers used by many other manufacturers. An inert gas blend of argon and nitrogen is sealed between the glass to further reduce the transfer of energy (heat or cold).

glass A special coating of titanium dioxide (TiO2) applied to the exterior glass surface bonds to the glass and, when activated by sunlight, helps break down organic matter and causes water to sheet off of the glass reducing exterior water spotting. This makes the glass easier to clean and requires cleaning less often.
